S.I. Swim Gets First African American Cover Model Since Tyra

Sports Illustrated graces it’s 2018 Swimsuit Edition with its second African American Model. Danielle Herrington

Swimsuit Editor MJ Day describes their cover model as “…enthusiastic and effervescent”.

To continue in the footsteps of the most historical African American Supermodel has to be exciting. Danielle is a two time S.I. model with first shoot with S.I. Swim being her first ever.

Day remembers the cover model as — shy her first time, but her second seemed to prove as much more defining.

Danielle’s camera presence immediately exudes strength and power. The sultry nature of this model is seducing inviting an air of intoxication with each glance. We are truly excited to see more of the likes of Danielle in up coming shoots and especially those bts videos.

Certainly diversity isn’t an issue with S.I. Swim — many African American models are selected to represent the publication, but to grace its cover has to be supremely special.

It will be interesting to see what other things Danielle will have to offer with her new success. Movies? TV? Advertisements? Big Fashion Houses? Whatever it will be we can’t wait to see this new superstar shine.

Congrats Danielle!
