Netflix Reaches for Iconic Status

  
Netflix’s growing online streaming network has taken 200,000 sq. ft in Hollywood’s infamous Icon Office Tower. 
This next step for Netfix will insure them amongst top Hollywood production and distribution studios as they will be taking over the original Warner Bros. Studios location. 
The 200,000 sq. feet location is the largest contract ever signed according to a report by Variety. 
With the included Southern California operations and Beverly Hills space added, Netfix will be at home at 323,000 sq. feet. 

“Icon is a state-of-the-art facility that places Netflix squarely in the middle of Hollywood’s creative culture to support our next stage of growth and content creation, ” said Netflix CFO David Wells. “The property’s combination of office, stage and production space provides an ideal setting.”

Hudson Pacific Properties real-estate development company will also be accommodating Netflix at Sunset Bronson Studios with amenities including a 1,600-space parking structure and a five-story, 96,000-square-foot creative office building scheduled to be completed in mid-2017. 

When asked about the Netflix deal Los Angles Mayor Eric Garcetti said the Icon office tower deal. “reaffirms that Los Angeles remains the nexus for innovative tech and creative companies, and that the future of the entertainment industry will call Hollywood home.”
