Cozying Up to Svee: Top Designer Knitwear

Voravit Lapnarongchai’s natty knitwear collection is an excellent antidote to frigid digits.

This sudden, unexpected Arctic blast on the east coast has been a real kick-in-the-pants-reminder that winter is on the way. So, try as we may to ignore it, we know it’s best to just suck it up and deal. One way to combat the bitter winds of winter is by layering up, with sweaters, turtlenecks, scarves… anything to take the chill off. And luckily, Brooklyn-based Svee has got all the cozy, luxurious knitwear to make us want to yell “Bring it!” to the dropping temps.

Designed by Derek Lam alumni Voravit Lapnarongchai, Svee’s fall/winter collection features boyfriend cardigans, slinky ribbed mini dresses and striped leggings in a tightly edited palette of black, grey, camel, and burgundy. There’s also a sporty element to Svee; the graphic striped V-neck, striped leggings and turtleneck look like team uniforms for Sochi 2014 (for which country, though, we’re not so sure). But the revel is in the details here, as delicate ottoman stitches, marled patterns and leather panels elevate basic silhouettes into genuinely distinct pieces.
