Georgia is becoming as a supplemental location to California’s struggling economy. If $3 Billion in spending is a struggling economy for California’s Hollywood then let’s just say us folk in south don’t really know what a thriving economy is.
In 2012, Georgia received $3.1 Billion in spending because of its tax structure making Georgia competitive with the likes of Canada and Louisiana which also see a substantial amount of Hollywood spending because of their tax structure.
Georgia will be adding a $90 million dollar studio in Effington County near Savannah along with a 2014 launch of Pinewood Studios. These two additions along with EUE/Screen Gems Studios, Tyler Perry Studios, and Atlanta Filmworks will surely continue to make Georgia a premier option for Studio Executives.
